Hi, my name is Leanne and I am a new Assistant Chief Shakeologist here at Shakin' it Derby. I've been in the role for a few months and it has gone by so quickly (time flies when you're having lots of fun and working with a great team!)
There is a big focus on excellent Customer Service here at Shakin' it Derby so, after my interview, I had a trial session with Leigh (Chief Shakeologist) to check I was a Customer Service and Shake-making star. Fortunately, I passed the test and since then I have been very busy indeed...
I have completed my induction which involved essential health and safety tasks, two external courses (Food Hygiene and Emergency First Aid at Work), lots of e-learning courses and most importantly training in how to make the perfect Shake.
I was invited to be a member of the Shakeologists' quiz team when Carnero Lounge Bar were raising money for Children First Derby (which also happens to be the Shakin' it Derby charity of the year for 2016). About 20 teams took part and we won!
I attended the intu Derby Retailer Awards evening, where we were proud winners of the Store of the Year Award, as voted by intu Derby customers.
And the next (and very exciting) thing on the list is the refit of our Shake bar in January 2017. Actually this might be breaking news as I don't think the owners have even announced it yet! We'll be having a new front counter layout and some fancy digital menu displays on the walls. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter pages for more info.
Oh, and a couple more things...I have been nominated as the Customer Service Champion for the Shakin' it Derby team. The means I will always thinking about ways we can make your Shake experience even better so, if you have any ideas, please pop by and tell me. I've been letting my creative flair loose and come up with a few new (and seriously delicious) Shake combos for the new menu as well as some of our brand new Winter Warmer Milkshake flavours (anything with popping candy in it has to be good, right?!)
I look forward to meeting you and taking your order for delicious Shakes very soon...my favourite, by the way is, Mint Aero and Oreo (but anything minty and chocolatey is awesome!)
Leanne, Assistant Chief Shakeologist.
At the end of August, we handed over £2,700 to Children First Derby, our charity of the year for 2016. We're super proud that we managed to raise this amount of money from one event and we asked Chief Shakeologist,
We wish our customers and friends a happy and shakeylicious new year. It is two years since we introduced a range of Hot Shakes (after a customer asked for a Hot Chocolate Hob Nob Shake). For the first time ever,
You might wonder why we introduced our Fruit Fusion range when we are already well known for our 'Shakeylicious' Milkshake treats. Well, we have all been encouraged to think more about what we eat and drink and there is much
Sometimes you want something that little bit extra special and whilst all our Shakes are very special, we do have some menu items that add a spot of sophistication to the mix. The most important part of the Shake process is
